Ohio can be a very spooky place. With a multitude of unexplained events and disappearances, it has garnered a reputation for being haunted. A pentagram of cemeteries surround a defunct asylum all of which have reports of hauntings.

Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat, if you don't, I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear. Where the heck did that come from?

The Kentucky Derby is an annual horse racing event that has taken place at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, since 1875. With such a long history it is no surprise that there are a certain number of unexplained occurrences that have taken place within the race and at the grounds.

In this 1st part of a 2 part series we examine all the different ghost stories that people claim on the campus at Ohio University.

There is a grotto in France known as Our Lady of Lourdes where natural spring waters are said to have healing properties. While tests to the water have shown no special elements or characteristics, more than 70 miracles, as defined and substantiated by the Catholic Church, have occurred in the 100+ years since its discovery.

There is an area in Vermont known as the Bennington Triangle where 5 disappearances occurred in a 5 year period. There have been strange occurrences in the area from lights in the sky to monster sightings.

Online retailer Wayfair has been in some hot water since the hashtag #wayfairgate began trending on Twitter and Instagram. Many social media influencers have brought awareness to the conspiracy that Wayfair has been selling products online at an extremely inflated price with human names that may correspond to disappeared children. Though unproven, the idea that there is an underground child-trafficking ring that Wayfair is participating in, only catering to those willing to pay the exorbitant price for cheap products.

The Yunwi Tsunsdi are from Cherokee folklore, they are said to be a group of small people that possess magic and are mischievous. The Boatland Fairies are small fairy-like creatures that do not have wings but at one time were said to live among humans. La Grange, Kentucky, had a swarm of blackbirds that blanketed the sky. The Man Eating Catfish is said to reside in the waterways around Kentucky and Tennessee.

Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle was the biggest name in silent movie comedies. He had signed a picture deal with Paramount Pictures earning him millions of dollars, second only to Charlie Chaplin. So why is Charlie Chaplin a household name, while "Fatty" Arbuckle is virtually unknown? Could his name be cursed? And was he responsible for the death of Virginia Rappe?
